Brooke | High School Senior Session | Blithewold Gardens Bristol, RI
I LOVE photographing high school seniors. I don’t often get to photograph them, but when I do, they’re so much fun! I love finding fun places to photograph at, and I love when the teen brings something meaningful to the session. I remember when I had my high school senior photos taken, we went to some photographer who had a backdrop setup in his garage. Ha, it sounds creepier than it actually was., but all of my photos were taken in front of the same backdrop. Now a days, theses kids have such a great opportunity to have their high school portraits be more meaningful, full of dimension and art and really showcase who they are as a person. When I graduated, everyone’s photos were the exact same. A bit boring. So now, kids can spice it up with different outfits and locations, making the entire experience fun and unique! As a senior portrait photographer, this makes my heart happy! Creating fun photo sessions for these kids is a blast!
I’ve known Brooke for a few years now. She’s cousin to my fiances brother-in-law. We’re close to that family, so we’ve gotten to know them over the years at different holidays and family events. I was stoked when she contacted me to photograph her high school senior portraits.
We decided to take Brooke’s High School Senior Portraits at Blithewold Gardens in Bristol, RI. If you’ve never been, It’s gorgeous! They hold weddings and events in the mansion, but the ground is open to the public (via entrance fees). You can walk among the gardens, and it overlooks the water, so it’s a seriously wonderful spot to just walk and enjoy being outdoors. I always get so happy when I’m able to photograph sessions at the Blithewold gardens! The Blithewold Gardens are a photographers dream!
I loved so many of Brooke’s photos, that I had to share them here. Enjoy!
