Wedding Date: May 28, 2016
I love weddings, and I love happy couple stories! Amanda and Charlie met at their friends wedding back in September of 2013. A wedding I so happened to photograph! Amanda was the maid of honor and Charlie was the best man. How sweet that the love of their best friends, blossomed a love for them. And, that couple that married in 2013, Melissa and Aaron were the best man and matron of honor for Amanda and Charlie. I love when stories like this happen!
Charlie proposed in October of 2014 at the Roger William's Pumpkin Extravaganza. For those that don't know, the local zoo puts on this show of beautifully carved pumpkins. It's a wonderful display! Well, Charlie was planing on proposing, when they happened to walk up to a pumpkin that said "Will You Marry Me?" Charlie didn't plan that, but how perfect was that to top off a spectacular night?!
When Amanda contacted me to photograph her wedding, I was stoked to hear that her and Charlie were getting married! They booked me in November of 2014, a year and a half before their wedding! We took their engagement photos about a year before the wedding in May of 2015. We had so much fun and it made me so excited for their big day.
When the day finally arrived, I felt like it had been forever since we booked, and in other ways, I couldn't believe the day was finally here! It was a hot day for May here, but I don't think the weather could have been more perfect for a backyard wedding.
Backyard weddings are some of my favorites. A lot of the decorations were DIY by Amanda and her MOH, which is something I adore when photographing weddings. I am sure to capture those little details that the bride and her friends and family put SO much hard work in over the past year. The card table backdrop/tablecloth, cake table table cloth and the deco mesh wreaths and decorations were made by the brides mom. The podium the couple stood on, the cake stand, the wine box table, centerpiece logs and the seating chart stand were made by the brides Padré while all of the faery gardens and misc. decorations were made by her Nana. How sweet is that, that everyone pitched in to make Amanda and Charlie's day that more perfect?!
I'm SO happy to share this wedding with you all. Amanda and Charlie are incredibly nice people, and I was honored to capture their day. I hope you enjoy viewing these photos almost as much as I enjoyed capturing them!
