Wedding Date: July 11, 2015
I love to travel, especially for weddings! When Diana’s mom contacted me about photographing the wedding, I was already intrigued with the location. After meeting with her mom and learning more details about the wedding, I was even more excited! Traveling up to Vermont for 3 days to photograph the Welcome Picnic, and the Wedding itself was just wonderful!
Diana and Warren were married on a beautiful summer day at Lareau Farm Inn located in Waitsfield, Vermont. Tucked away in the green mountains was this farm that had lots of land, beautiful barn and the most breathtaking backdrop, a wedding photographers dream! I started my day with Diana and her bridesmaids getting ready. Diana seemed calm and very excited! She is such a bubbly, happy, beautiful person inside and out. After emailing her many times, when I finally met her in person at the rehearsal dinner, I felt like I had known her for years! She is the sweetest.
Diana and Warren decided on a First Look. Warren hid around the corner of the barn, and Diana came out to surprise him. It was such a beautiful, intimate moment for them. One of my favorites moments to capture!
The ceremony was held in a little area in the woods. You walked down a path, adorned with mason jars filled with flowers, and came to an opening where this beautiful wooden chuppah and long wooden benches lay. Definitely this wedding photographers favorite ceremony site to date! Their ceremony was beautiful, and Diana and Warren were married by Warren’s dad. The entire wedding was so intimate and family orientated, it wasn’t hard to fit right in and feel welcomed.
The Cocktail Hour featured games of croquet and corn hole (or bean bag toss), lots of socializing and fun! The reception had delicious food, lots of dancing and even a fire pit to roast marshmallows for S’mores! Warren plays in a band, and even jumped on the keyboards for a few songs while Diana and guests sang and danced away! Such a fun time!
After the sun set and dark descended on us, Diana, Warren and some guests lit off some floating lanterns. It was so beautiful and at times the lanterns looks like stars in the sky!
Overall, this was an incredibly beautiful wedding day. I’m so thankful I was able to travel up to Vermont to photograph this wedding. It was hard narrowing down my favorites, but here are some photos from their big day!
