Okay, I'm behind in blogging, I know! This session was from August! But, I'm working hard on catching up, as I have so many beautiful sessions to share!!
Before I was a photographer, I worked in childcare. I was a certified preschool teacher for years, but before that, I worked at a before and after school care and summer camp for a local YMCA. This was about 10 years ago! The reason why I bring this up is because Tyra was one of the kids I cared for. Now, 10 years ago, Tyra was a little peanut 8 year old. She was so adorable, and one of the best kids I had! Sadly after I left, I lost contact for a little while. Thanks to Facebook, I've reconnected with some of the kids and their parents, Tyra being one of them!
When Tyra contacted me about photographer her High School Senior photos, not only was I beyond honored, but I felt really old, haha! How did 10 years just fly on by? And how did that little peanut girl turn into a gorgeous young woman overnight?! Ah! I love when old people in my life come back for photos, it makes me so happy!
Tyra asked if we could take her photos at a beach! She requested First Beach in Newport and I obliged. It was my first time here, and I loved it! It was a perfect day when we went. There was even a red tide going on, so the red seaweed mixed with the blue water made for these gorgeous colors in the background of some of the photos! We had a wonderful time, and Tyra was just so easy to work with.
Tyra, I wish you well on your senior year! Your future is so bright!
Here are some of my personal favorites from that session.
